Texturing a photo

In this tutorial we will show you how to make the photography more interesting using some filter effects and level tools.

Step 1

We will open Adobe Photoshop and load our picture. We will use this picture:






Step 2


In this step we will make our picture more vivid using level tools by pressing Ctrl+L and we will set the values like this:



Step 3

Now we need  to colorise the picture with some color. In this case we will use the blue color to paint the picture. In oreder to do that we need to press Ctrl+U and set the values like this:



Step 4

In step 4 we will add some Lens Flare filter and set te values for flare like this:



Step 5

Next thing we will do is turn the picture clockwise by 90 degrese. To do that press Ctrl+T, hold shift and hold any corner of the picture and rotate the picture clockwise by 90 degrese.

Step 6

In this step we need to add some wind filer. Go to Filter->Stylise->Wind and adjust the values you want and wind direction from left to right and then apply the filter. After that rotate picture by 90 degres CCW with same procedure described in previous step.

Step 7

Now go to the Filter gallery  and from the Textures section select the Texturiser filter. Set the texturiser filter values like this:



Step 8

In this step we will cut the edges of the picture to get a little more interesting look of the photography. We will cut the edges like this:



Step 9

In this last step we will add some shadow effect and our picture is done. Set the shadow effect values like this:
