Using this thoroughly explained, detailed lesson, you will see how to create advanced text presentation with sound. You don't have to use action script code to make this lesson! Using this lesson, you will also learn how to convert any layer into a mask, how to use some special flash tips and tricks and much more!
Create a new flash document. Press Ctrl+J key on the keyboard (Document Properties) and set the dimensions of you document as whatever you like. Select any color as background color.Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 25 and click ok. See the picture below.
Take now the Text Tool (A) and type any text on flas stage!
While the text is still selected, go to the Align Panel (Ctrl+K) and do the following:
1. Make sure that the Align/Distribute to Stage button is turned on,
2. Click on the Align horizontal center button and
3. Click the Align vertical center button.
Click now on frame 55 and press F5 key.
Double click now on layer 1 with the Selection Tool (V) and rename its name into a text. After that, create a new layer above the layer text and name it mask.
Select now mask layer, take the Rectangle Tool (R) and draw a rectangle on the position like it is shown on the picture below!
While the rectangle is still selected, press F8 key (COnvert to Symbol) to convert this rectangle into a Movie Clip Symbol.
Double-click on the movie clip on stage with the Selection tool(V).You should now be inside the Movie Clip.
Click now on frame 5 and press F6 key.
While you're still on frame 5, place the rectangle on the position like it is shown on the picture below!
Select now the first frame and go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. Then, for Tween drop down menu choose Shape.
Go back again on frame 1 and press Ctrl+C key (Copy). Then, create a new layer above the layer 1 and name it layer 2. After that, click on frame 3 of layer 2 and press F6 key. Then, while you're still on frame 3 of layer 2, press Ctrl+Shift+V key (Paste in place).
Click now on frame 8 and press again F6 key. While you're still on frame 8, palce the rectangle on the position like it is shown on the picture below!
Go back now on frame 3 and import any sound file into a flash library. Then, while you're still on frame 3, using the drag and drop technique, move that sound file into a flash stage. If you don't have any sound file, you can download my example at the end of lesson, and copy my sound file from flash library!
Repeat the previous process as long as you don't get this:
After that, click on frame 55 and press again F6 key. While you're still on frame 55, take the Free Transform Tool (Q) and do the following:
Select now frame 40 and go again to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. Then, on the left side, you will see a Tween drop down menu. Select shape on it!
Select again frame 40 and import some other sound file into a flash stage. If you don't have any sound file, download my example and copy my second sound file from the library and then, import it into a flash stage.
Go back now on the main scene (Scene 1).
Select now mask area layer again, and convert it to a mask by right-clicking on the mask area layer and selecting Mask. See the picture below.
