See this tutorial and learn how to create reverse effect in flash with no Action Script.

Step 1

Create any objects using the flash tools for drawing. For this example I will draw a clock. See the picture below. You can also draw my object.

When you  have create the object, take the Selection Tool (V) and select it. Then, press F8 key (Convert to symbol) to convert this object into a Movie Clip Symbol.

Step 2

Take again the Selection Tool (V) and double click on a new made Movie Clip, or choose right click and  Edit in Place. You should now be inside the Movie Clip. Double click on layer 1 to rename its name in object. Select  frame 2 and press F6 on the keyboard to make a keyframe. Press then ctrl+B keys twice to break apart the objects.

Take the  Erase tool (E) and erase only one part of object. See the picture below

After that, click on frame 3, press F6 key and erase a little more object. Repeat this process until you don't erase the all object.

Step 3

When you have erased your objects, select the all frames by pressing one on the layer name,

and choose Modify - Timeline - Reverse frames. See the picture below.

Now you have reversed the frames. Click on the last frame and open the Actions Script Panel (F9). Then, click on  plus icon and choose > Global function > Timeline control > Stop. See the picture below.

It's time to paint the object.

Step 4

Create a new layer and name it whatever you like. After that, move that layer using the drag and drop technique beneath the first layer.

Then, select that layer and press F6 key on the frame where you have finished the object (erase it). Last frame.

Now, take the Paint Bucket Tool (K) and paint any part of object.

After that, take the Selection Tool (V), click once on the part of object that you just painted, and press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this part of object into a Graphic Symbol. See the picture below.

Click on 15 frames away and press F6 again. When you do that, go back on the first frame, click once on colored symbol, open the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) and for color choose alpha, and set it to 0%.

Click again at the first frame, and in the Properties Panel below the scene, for Tween choose Motion. See the picture below.

Step 5

Click on the last layer (in my example: Color_clock_layer), create a new layer and name it which  you like.

Select then laste frame and press F6 on the keyboard. After that press F6 again and color some other part of bjects.

After that, just like previous step, select colored part and press F8 key to convert this part of object into a Graphic Symbol.

When you do that  click 15 frames away and press F6 again. Open the Proeperties Panel (Ctrl+F3) and for color choose alpha and set it to 0%.

Go back on first frame, and in Properties Panel, for Tween choose Motion.

Fnally, click on laset layer, insert a new layer, name it whatever you like and color the remaining part of objects, like we have done in step 4.

Step 6

When you have colored the objects, select the first layer (layer of rendering ) and  click on last frame (Frame of Action Script) and delete the script.

After that. click on the last frame of layer that you have last colored, Open the Action Script Panel and paste this script:

stop();
